Did you know May is National Wildfire Prevention Month? Since we are a National Firewise Community, the Brighton Institute and Big Cottonwood Canyon Association (BCCA) sponsor an annual Community Firewise Meeting to go over details about how to reduce wildfire risk. 

What to Expect

Bring your questions about the new State Wildfire Maintenance Mandate and listen for updates about fees, home assessments, and resources for complying with the new mandate from our panel of experts.

  • USFS District Ranger Adam Shaw

  • Sgt. Ed Twohill from Brightonโ€™s Unified Police.

The Forest Service will also share their plans for Big Cottonwood Canyon during the upcoming wildfire season.
