PROCESSING NOTES This material was organized by date of publication beginning with the first edition, published in

September 1973, and ending with the June 2020 edition when the Town of Brighton incorporated and

began publishing a monthly digital newsletter. Newsletters are all original copies, not cleaned or

recopied.

DESCRIPTION This collection came from records handed down by past presidents of BCCA, including Jean Taylor (original editor), Kay Gushee, Steve Winter, Bret Cunningham, Mary Ellen Pugsley, and Barbara Cameron. The material is a collection of the newsletters written, published and mailed to property owners of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Newsletters were published twice each year in June and October from 1973-2021. They included information about such things as canyon events, elections, regulations, cultural and natural history.
