Barbara Cameron, President of the Big Cottonwood Canyon Association since 2002, organized this collection with help from Charles Keller, historian and mining geologist, who created the photo catalog.


Conditions Governing Access

Collection my be checked out by individual boxes. No conditions are associated with the items, except that original attribution must be given to documents and photos. The collection includes mostly print material, but there is a CD from Charles Keller’s catalogue processing that requires a CD reader. A copy of the CD digital catalogue has been reproduced on a thumb drive included with the CD.

Processing Notes

This collection was received in 2014 after the beloved Chas Nickerson passed away. Barbara Cameron did her best to organize the collection from the five large boxes donated by the Nickerson family.


Description

This collection was gathered by Chas Nickerson during the years when he served as Canyon Historian and Secretary of the Big Cottonwood Canyon Association (BCCA). He was also a journalist with the Desert News. His collection was donated to BCC President Barbara Cameron who organized it. The photo collection was organized and catalogued by historian and mining geologist Charles Keller (author of The Lady in the Ore Bucket).
