Autumn Photography... How to Take Print-Worthy Photos

  • Mill D Trailhead 9.5 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon Road Brighton, Utah USA (map)

Catch peak colors at their source and experience autumn through the eyes of a professional photographer. Join Photographer Roger Sondrup on Saturday, October 5th for a sunrise hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Bring your cameras tripods, triggers and filters, because this will be a exciting fast paced, learning intensive hike. Learn the right camera settings to execute the perfect long exposure. Discover how to dial-in your polarized filter to capture the most color. Or just come along for the hike, and see first hand exactly what it takes to get the right photo.

We will meet at the Mill D parking lot at 6:00am and will be hiking up the Mill D trail to Lake Desolation. To get there, follow Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (7000 S. Wasatch Boulevard) about 9.5 miles up the canyon to the Mill D North Fork Trailhead about 0.2 miles before Spruces Campground on the north side of the road.

Class size is limited to 15, so registration is required. This class is FREE!
