Join us for an evening of music with Clive Romney. This Brighton Institute event is open to the entire community.
Clive Romney, a composer and songwriter, has more than 500 published works. Clive wrote the lyrics for the animated films Swan Princess II, III, and the soon-to-be-released IV, the music and lyrics for “Over The Edge at The Grand Canyon” (commissioned by the National Park), the music for the new Nauvoo Visitors’ Center show “High Hopes and Riverboats”, much of the lyrics and music for a pioneer heritage show called “The Ghosts of Gardner Village”, and an elementary-school early Utah history program called “The Heart Of A Pioneer”, and music and lyrics for “Echoes of Christmas” presented these past six Christmases at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. He is creative director for “Story Road Utah” which tells the pioneer stories of Utah communities and families. He produces The Legacy Series for Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts.
Clive has taught guitar, songwriting, arranging and Introduction to the Music Business at Brigham Young University, University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, and privately.
He has 4,000+ performances to his credit—solo and with Enoch Train, Caboose, Willingly, Grouse Creek Lily, Manassas, and other ensembles. He plays guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, accordion, percussion, dan tranh, charango, bodhran, various other ethnic instruments, and "just enough piano to get into trouble."
